Growing Importance of a Personal Trainer

In today’s society, health and fitness are given the utmost importance. It comprises of people who are hard working, successful and ambitious. The social scene isn’t quiet either, with fitness and proper physique leading the way as adorable qualities. In such a scenario, the importance of a personal trainer has sky rocketed and deservedly so. Gone are the days when men and women used to drone out routine common exercises in overcrowded gyms. Efficiency and doing the right things in the right way are on everyone’s priority list and hence people don’t take a step back
Experts have always got more value as people who have been there and done it all. They know what works and what doesn’t. Health is never something that should be second priority to money. Given that a personal trainer also adds value and flexibility to an overloaded schedule, one needn’t be in a dilemma on what the first step towards a healthy life should be.

Work is important these days and money is available to be earned by the talented lot. But to give their best, one needs to understand the importance of staying fit. Everyone understands how exercise can keep the body smart. At the same time overdoing it could lead to obvious discomfort. No one wants to walk into a board room with cramps in the leg. A personal trainer is the right person to slowly but surely build the capacity of the body to take stress and strain instead of breaking it the first day.

A day on the bed due to bad food could cause many a problem for the working lot. Diet is important and again the body intake should be balanced in carbohydrates, fats, proteins etc. and also the right juices. Diet control, is a good way of cleaning up the mess inside and consuming the right substances. Some people have only salads and leafy vegetables as advised by their trainer to keep themselves alert post lunch.

Personal trainer brings in confidence and the hope that stands out in the personality of a person. These days, a derivative of the interest in fitness is the numerous programs with claims of miraculous results. There are also magical medicines for unbelievable results. Innovation and invention have also conjured ways out of nowhere e.g. surgery for losing weight. In all this confusion, people realize the importance of not getting into the raw deal and regret later. Exploitation at the cost of one’s health has been claiming many victims and eventually people understand the need to be realistic.

Fortunately, there is enough expertise available. Personal trainers are well educated in their field and bring with them, apart from the knowledge, such important virtues as constant observation, assessment, discipline, awareness and proper planning. They are dynamic and motivational people who could be role models of the vast population of people who are ready to make sacrifices in order to have the extra edge through their personality.

Personal trainers are good for one’s personality too. They know about the body well, the biceps, the triceps, chest or calves or the back. They also know about the spirit and the temptations that undo months of good work. Hence they are constantly scheming to make the people adhere with saintly devotion to their guidelines and reap the benefits. They are easily accessible too and with their training are very much trustworthy and deserve the money they make. In a result oriented race, these trainers bring a fresh perspective and balance which is being well received.

More Singaporeans are too fat

SINGAPOREANS are losing the battle of the bulge, with one in 10 - or 10.8 per cent of the population - being obese.

This is up from 6.9 per cent in 2004, according to the latest National Health Survey.

The findings of the survey, which is conducted by the Health Promotion Board (HPB) every six years, were revealed on Sunday at the launch of the annual National Healthy Lifestyle Campaign.

The growing rate of obesity can be blamed on two main factors - Singaporeans are not exercising enough, and they are not eating properly.

The bad news comes despite many efforts over the years to promote healthy living through exercise and proper diet.

While the obesity figure is not as high as in other developed countries, such as in the United States, where one in three people is obese, the HPB still sees cause for concern.
